My name is ___________ and I live in Tulsa, OK. May I please speak to the Senator’s Energy Legislative Assistant? (The receptionist will then ask what the call is pertaining to). I am calling to see if the Senator supports the Pickens Plan.

Hello,
My name is __________________and I live in Tulsa, OK. Our nation’s energy crisis is an important issue to me and I am calling to learn about the Senator’s plan to end our dependence on foreign oil.
If the Senator does not have a concrete plan of his/her own, does the Senator support the Pickens Plan?

If Yes
T. Boone Pickens has developed a concrete plan to end our dependence on foreign oil. It has the support of 12 sitting Governors, 7 members of the United States Senate and 51 members of the House of Representatives.

Would Senator X XXXXX be willing to join his/her colleagues by signing the Pickens Pledge? All the Senator is committing to is ending our dependence on foreign oil by 30% over the next 10 years. (Offer to email or fax them a copy of the pledge)
As a registered voter and one of the Senator’s constituents, I greatly appreciate the Senator’s leadership and appreciate him/her supporting the Pickens Plan. I will make sure all of my friends and family know about it!

Can you tell me why the Senator does not support the Pickens Plan?
If the Senator does not have a concrete plan to end our dependence on foreign oil and does not support the Pickens Plan, does that mean the Senator supports the status quo, foreign oil?
