I own a company that's building a highly efficient, multiple input electric generator - with the first product being driven by a wind turbine. VStarz also provides batteries for building-size UPS Power systems.

What excites you about this campaign?

Possible investment support from sophisticated investors, and the chance to finally end our dependence on foreign oil - while simultaneously boosting our economy and jobs.

What do you want to do to help?

Provide insight and/or direction via blogs, discussions and responses to help new Pickens Plan members hit the ground running. Allow me to specifically answer the question as to what YOU can do now that you are here:

The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do. You should also try out all the different links on each page to explore this new environment. The Pickens Plan has created a lot of useful information and resources for you.

Here are further steps you might consider after settling in
(some you may have already taken).

- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.

Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.

Hope all is well. There is much debate about Nat Gas here in PA. however I push for an interest in Wind as well as Nat Gas and still encourage many alternative energy forms.

I am back on an Interent Connection at home. Just a reminder, the Welcome Letter is a positive tool for Welcoming people to the Website. It helps those who do not want to re-run the Welcome Video and prefer to read about a topic. Some of these people like hard cover calendars instead of MS Outlook Calendars!
