Our District 9 group meeting will be Oct 13 at Applebee's at 6 30 PM. I will be bringing in several of the new LED lights so anyone interested can see how effective they are. Hope to see you all there. Don

- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- Worked with Passive Solar back in the 1970's and have had a small amount of experience with solar collectors. I'm interested in windpower and also I have looked into building a water impoundment on one of my farms and installing a micro hydro plant at my farm utilizing a Pelton Wheel or a more advanced system if possible. I once lived in the backcountry of Alaska where the grid will never make it and have learned how to subsist with very few convienences. Sorry for the spelling no spell check her.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Somebody got off their duff and is doing something besides just saying wow look at that problem and now says here is a plan to start fixxing the problem and T. Boone is gathering in the human resources to address the situation it's a positive move in the right direction and the start of a movement that will take us into the next era to finally initiate action to make American energy independent.
- What do you want to do to help?
- I'm retired with time and money not being a problem. I am completely mobile. I am a retired medical entomologist and have traveled extensively. I'm 57 and articulate and resouceful. and have homes in Ga, Florida Keys, Costa Rica and Arkansas. Put me where I can talk about the plan and recruit. more human resoruces. At one time I had 8 coroporations running at the same time. I also some writing and marketings skills . Kudo's to T. Boone Pickens.

Joseph Keating said… - Haven't been able to get a response from the pickens team on an idea. Maybe you have some pull some where. Assuming the new wind farm is on hold, why not setup a fund to add a windmill to an existing wind farm ? I would contribute to it. My original reason for joining was to increase the use of wind energy.

- Lloyd, Morgan and I went to the meeting tonight but nobody showed up. We got there at 6:30 and the real estate meeting was already starting. We were told that the Pickens Plan meeting was just something you did for about 30 minutes before the real estate meeting started each month. I was under the impression that there was a strong, dedicated group in the Dalton area. What happened?
