Sam,
Sounds like a great event. I was planning on attending but need to attend an important meeting in New York for work. Hopefully we can connect at a future meeting. All the success for this one!

Here are several recent articles I wanted to share with you by Boone:
- May 23 Huffington Post…
Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
None really.
What excites you about this campaign?
As a country we have to have alternative sources of energy. I am very concerned about the future of our country if we continue to depend on foreign oil. I want there to be a better tomorrow for this great country.
What do you want to do to help?
I want to help push our government to a faster resolution.

Hi Michelle! Hope you are well! You are our District 7 leader. I emailed John Linder (District 7 Rep) yesterday, he still has not signed the pledge. Do you have any updates on this? I have not had any replies from his office. Could we set up a meeting with him to discuss why he has not signed and what his plan is? Thanks so much, just let me know, Sam
We will hold a tour of the Clean Energy Fuels NG Station in Atlanta on August 20th. This event is for all the District Leaders in the Southeast, especially those in Georgia. You will have the opportunity to see NG vehicles and become more educated on the benefits of NG as a transportation fuel. There will be a demo and Q&A. Look forward to seeing you all there! Please contact me if you are able to attend, I want to get a head count if possible.(direct email samfleet1@yahoo.com, or leave message to me through the site)
The address is 4555 Edison Drive, College Park, GA 30337, the event will begin at 11am on Thursday the 20th of August 2009.
Sorry for the delayed response, just got back from having baby. I would like to attend call and am having some support from my district for other members who would also like to attend. Could you please provide dial in number and time? Many Thanks,
Ryan Messer

Jack,
It's fantastic what you all are doing in the NJDL! I have been inspired by it! My plan is to try to have a conference call before the Virtual March date so we can all collectively make as much noise as possible for April 1st thru 3rd. I told my husband your gracious offer for the free conference call. He thought it was fabulous of you to offer! My husband is able to provide me with a free conference call as well, so for logistic reasons I will take him up on his offer. Thank's for motivating us both!
My Regional Leader already sent me the GADL's contact info so again thanks for the idea. I will keep you updated and may need your advice. My email is michellemillhof@yahoo.com if you wouldn't mind sending me your contact information.
Thanks again! Have a relaxing weekend!

It never ceases to amaze me how the energy in this movement feeds on itself to motivate all forward. You’re reply presenting your husbands generous offer to provide his own conference call account as an outreach mechanism within your State, is the encouragement which feeds our imagination about what can be accomplished. You didn’t mention your husbands first name but please thank him for NJDLD and all 200,000 on-line members and almost 3 million amalgamated Virtual March participants.
It occurs to me that his offer to utilize his own conference call capability can develop into a paying forward phenomenon on the site. If the word gets out that he has provided this service as well as NJDLD…there’s no telling who will be next. I encourage you to repeat the offer as we have on a blog at the main page. If the idea catches on other leaders may be encouraged to unify the individual efforts of their States Districts to motivate, empower and expand their actions. We’ll be watching for the formation of the GADLD (Georgia District Leaders Delegation).
Thank you so much for your offer and please give Mr. Millhoff a HUG from us.
Regards,

Conference call for all GA is a great idea. Count me in. Just need the heads up for the call in time and numbers. Gr8 way to prepare for the virtual march.
I'm glad you are pursuing NJDL's offer to provide 2 hours free use of their conference call account. Others have responded and are in the process of putting together their program. The challenge is to get at least 10 or more participants from your State District Leadership to sign on. As mentioned, it's good if possible to reach out to those Districts within a feasible travel time so a follow-up site meeting can be scheduled. NJDL is meeting in the State Capitol this Sunday. Our agenda includes the Virtual March and other public events, recruitment outreach, etc.
To answer your question about who is covering the cost of the call...it is a project of the NJDL. Depending on the response and success of this offer we may periodically repeat it. Our first call was so successful we thought we wanted to share the idea with others around the country. Unifying the districts within a State is a good way to power up everyones enthusiasm, creativity and actions.
Please let me know what progress you're making. We're anxious to assist in any way we can. The collective energy of the Pickens Plan is allowing New Jersey to move ahead. We've been still too long.

When my Co-Leader, Jim Muhaw and I decided to gather all NJ State District Leaders we reached out to our Regional Leader who provided the contact info for each one. We communicated directly with them. We were gratified to get almost 100% response to our first communication and followed that up with a tele-conf-call which was also attended by virtually the entire NJ State delegation.
The Conference call was very productive and we recommended a follow-up site meeting which is scheduled for this Sunday March 29th in the State Capitol. One of our members, Michael Golub, DL, NJ-06 was able to make a connection and get us meeting space right in the State House. We will send a press release for the event to the local papers. Our Agenda includes fine tuning our Virtual March strategies as well as a fall Towne Hall meeting with simulcast hook-ups across the public access network.
We are fortunate that the NJ DL's are actively participating in these efforts. We have recommended that other DL's reach out to their State Leaders and form a similar coalition. It's easier working together then alone and more motivating.
Because of our success with this effort we have offered two hours of free use of our conference line to the first District Leader who steps up and wants to organize a similar effort. This offer is good until March 31st. After connecting with your RL and other DL's let me know if you're interested and we'll set it up with you.

I can't say for sure but if you send me the address and time I will try to make it. I am involving myself in the local and state political scene anyway and certainly support T Boone.
Denis Scott started a new political party, the Energy Party, in support of PicjensPlan and other such incentives, to put up new candidates starting at the local level through U.S. Congress, especially where we could not get the ear of existing Dem or Rep candidates. The site mgmt. changed the rules of use and removed Dennis from the site on a "spamming" claim. When they did, they left the main page of the Energy Party but gutted the structure, including the membership and 50 state group pages, virtually without warning. We complained about this but got no explanation, so I bowed out of their political program.
Michelle
I have removed myself from the PickensPlan political groups because of what I consider a grossly unfair treatment of D. Scott's Energy Party. I would be interested in following what you are doing though and appreciate your work.
