T. Boone Pickens Talks about Energy Independence at Notre Dame – WNDU – 10/26/09

By Erin Logan

It's scary but true. In 2008, Americans spent $475 billion on foreign oil.

Right now, we're getting 67% of our oil from foreign countries. Some of them are considered our enemies.

It's only going to get worse unless there's a dramatic change.

The man who helped craft a master plan for the country spoke in front of well over 1,000 people at Notre Dame Monday night.

Notre Dame Guest T. Boone Pickens Touts Energy Saving Plan – South Bend Tribune – 10/27/09

By Margaret Fosmoe

SOUTH BEND — A Texas oilman and financier came to town Monday to tout the benefits of natural gas, wind and solar energy.

The United States can no longer afford to rely on foreign sources for most of its energy needs, T. Boone Pickens said during a town hall meeting at the University of Notre Dame.

"We cannot continue to import oil from people that hate us," Pickens told the… Continue

Natural Gas Is The Answer To Reliance On Oil – South Bend Tribune – 10/27/09

Natural Gas Is The Answer To Reliance On Oil – South Bend Tribune – 10/27/09

By T. Boone Pickens

America remains addicted to foreign oil which is dangerous to our economy, our environment and our national security.

Indiana was one of the earliest places where oil and gas were major energy sources. According to a paper written by John A. Rupp for the Indiana Geologic Survey of Indiana University, "The existence of Muncie, Anderson, Marion and Kokomo as manufacturing centers can be direct… Continue

Pickens Says Energy Policy Coming – Stillwater NewsPress – 10/24/09

Americans get it, and now Congress is catching on, Texas billionaire T. Boone Pickens said.

The “it” is the Pickens Plan. The Oklahoma State University (then Oklahoma A&M) graduate is criss-crossing the United States like early-day evangelist Billy Sunday.

Pickens traded Sunday’s tents for assembly halls on college campuses. He’s converting the masses from America’s dependence on foreign oil, and pro… Continue

T. Boone Pickens Hits Road with Energy Plan – The Oklahoman – 10/25/09

By Jay F. Marks

Outspoken oilman T. Boone Pickens is coming home to his alma mater with his much-discussed plan to overhaul the country’s energy policies.

"The single biggest crisis facing America today is without question our ever-growing dependence on foreign oil from hostile nations. We continue to put our economy and security in danger,” Pickens said recently.

"Developments in the Middle East with Iran once ag… Continue

Mike, You can think all you like but the fact is that PP site was targeted and corrupted by political paid operatives during the election. This is not my opinion it is what happened on many discussions. Some were just removed by the site monitors.

You can point but facts are stubborn things they just keep coming back to the surface.

Best wishes in the future.

Hey young man;

Your post on Stupid Economics. The way it is written one has to assume the abundant resourse you are referring to is Natural Gas.
Also the way written you seem to downplay wind and solar.

It just leaves an unsurety in my head after reading.

Hi Mike ~

Just wanted to let you know that you have a FABULOUS State Leader in FL, Jeff Greene! He is very knowledgable with ideas and has steered information my way that I did not even know existed!

I would like to start a new forum for all State Leaders throughout the US where we can bounce ideas off each other... What works and what doesn't work to motive our DL's and push PP in our states. I'll let you know what the url is when I have formed it.

Again, kudos to Jeff!

July 8, 2009 As the Florida 24th Congressional District leader this past year, I am glad I had a part in pushing forward the recognition of the 1st anniversary of the announcement of the Pickens Plan by your Dad. I think it has surprised the national media that Americans have resoundingly responded with enthusiasm to that movement. With the major accomplishment of this first year in recruiting almost 4million members, I agree whole heartedly, we are taking the dreams, capturing the hearts and showing the feasibility of alternative energy throughout this country and our desire to continue forward in a big way. As we continue this momentum, we have great opportunities like the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day in 2010, to show the world what a dedicated group can do in freeing ourselves from being "Energy Prisoners". Best wishes from the entire Energy Army and let's get er done! Mark Hedtke

I am in GA congressional district 13 and can't get a response from the leaders there to coordinate activities. I cannot even join because they have to approve my membership and nobody seems to be answering e-mail. In my opinion you should be able to join a congressional district in the Pickens Plan without getting anybody's permission.
