Straight Talk and Media Bias - You Decide?

Fred Thompson gives you his "Straight Talk" regarding the upcoming election. Media Bias has been leaning toward the Liberal Left for the Democratic Party, not surprising but the Media sways American opinion and should "Report the News not Make it! You Decide - Straight Talk and Media Bias?

Title: "Straight Talk From Fred Thompson"

Thompson: You got a few minutes?

It's time for those of us who are concerned about our nation's future to focus on what's at stake in this year's elections.

This is a time of great challenge for our country. We know that somewhere in the world our worst enemies either have, or are trying to get their hands on, the most dangerous weapons known to man. Small rogue nations are developing nuclear weapons and threatening our allies. Large nations are engaged in massive military buildups. At home we are girding for the possible onset of a recession.

If this wasn't America, I might be worried. But very soon we will go to the polls and set a path that will determine how we respond to these challenges.

It'll be a decision that we'll make not only for ourselves but very possibly for generations to come.

John McCain's entire life has been devoted to defending those principles that made our country great. His life has been one of duty, honor, dedication, sacrifice.

He's been involved in every major domestic and foreign policy issue for three decades and has fought to reform Washington in ways that would change our country for the better.

Responsible change is the essence of conservatism. We must change in order to preserve what's best about our country.

We've always been able to accommodate constructive change without turning our back on our first principles.

We must do it again.

However, that does not include staking everything upon the eloquence and inexperience of one who has towed the extreme liberal and partisan line his entire political life, as much as he tries to blur that fact now.

This is the choice that we have in this election. Let's hope that for our nation's sake that we choose well.

Thank you.
Fred Thompson

Media Bias Report and Action Committee Support.

The media's coverage of the 2008 Presidential candidates is recklessly skewed. Left unchecked and unchallenged, it could taint the election process!

The Media Research Center just released a 7-month study of morning news shows and found the networks are giving nearly twice as much airtime to Democratic candidates. Even worse, these segments actively promoted the liberal agenda.

In other words, the networks aren't even trying to hide their bias!

I have just signed a national petition launched by the Media Research Center demanding balance in 2008 election coverage, and am urging you to do the same by clicking here: http://www.mrcaction.org/506/petition.asp?PID=18606458&NID=1

(Note: You can access the full MRC Report, "Rise and Shine
on Democrats," by clicking on the above link.)

The MRC is mobilizing 100,000 citizens over the next 30 days, and will present the petitions to the media as soon as our goal has been reached.

Please take a moment to add your name:

I have to agree with Pat. I see nothing newsworthy or noteworthy here. Mr. Thompson has made a plea for his guy without so much as a mention why his guy should support the Pickens Plan or energy independence. And of course he whines and complains about the most left senator ever. One thing is clear every election. The senator republicans want to lose is always the most liberal since the founding. Guaranteed - last time it was Kerry during the election, but Kennedy before and after.

Here's an idea - McCain should throw a Hail Mary and actually sign the Pickens Pledge tomorrow. That's 1 million + more votes he might get. But, he never listens to me anyway. Obama should keep his eyes on the economy and energy crisis and ignore the McCain camp's name calling. At least he listens to me sometimes.
