Not if using what's Ours (Who's? Do I own any NAT GAS? Not unless I buy it. And it's expensive.)
may cause irreparable harm to North American Aquifers. Review:
Drill Waters Run foul

Let's call on Boone to stand up for a renewed: CLEAN WATER ACT. To the version before the BU$H Adm. created an exemption for NAT GAS Drilling. Or the current method known as: FRACKING. Do this in a Spirit of Trust, and concern for a truely Clean, Green Environment. Talk the talk. Walk the walk. Not just to promote a Cleaner form of Alt Energy, when it's convenient, and coincidental for profit. But out of real concern for the health of Our Nation.

Casey, House Members Introduce Companion Bills To Protect Drinking Water from Natural Gas Fracking

FRAC Act
Fracturing Responsibility & Awareness of Chemicals Act

To amend the Safe Drinking Water Act to repeal a certain exemption for hydraulic fracturing, and for other purposes.

Bill # S.1215

I feel guilty now after sending an E supporting the NAT GAS Act w/o knowledge of this hazzard. Now we know, and need to: Take Action to right this wrong!

I believe in T. Boone is doing & the math is inescapable, however...

"Federal environment officials investigating drinking water contamination [1] near the ranching town of Pavillion, Wyo., have found that at least three water wells contain a chemical used in the natural gas drilling process of hydraulic fracturing. Scientists also found traces of other contaminants, including oil, gas or metals, in 11 of 39 wells tested there since March.

The study, which is being conducted under the Environmental Protection Agency’s Superfund program, is the first time the EPA has undertaken its own water analysis in response to complaints of contamination in drilling areas, and it could be pivotal in the national debate [2] over the role of natural gas in America’s energy policy.

Abundant gas reserves are being aggressively developed in 31 states, including New York [3] and Pennsylvania [4]. Congress is mulling a bill [5] that aims to protect those water resources from hydraulic fracturing, the process in which fluids and sand are injected under high pressure to break up rock and release gas. But the industry says environmental regulation is unnecessary [6] because it is impossible for fracturing fluids to reach underground water supplies and no such case has ever been proven."

Fracking contamination is real, extensive (though we don't know how much, yet), and way under-reported in the MSM. We all want to get off the petrostate teat, but we can't sacrifice our health and the environment to do it.

I support the Pickens Plan, but there are limits to what we can allow to happen to our environment. Air and water are the most important natural resources we have, and they must be protected!

I've been working for the Pickens Plan for a year now, and the discussions this week are the first mention of "Fracking" that I have seen. I had heard about hydraulic fracture being used for oil extraction, but hadn't looked into the environmental effects.

Restore the Safe Drinking Water Act to protect our water. You can't drink Natural Gas or Oil, and when the AIR and WATER are polluted, the inhabitants of Planet Earth are "Fracked."
